In the past few months, American life as we know it has changed. Businesses across industries have suffered and millions have lost work in amidst the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Simply Clean is no different – we have lost approximately half of our business. It’s been difficult.
At the same time, life hasn’t stopped. There are still people with needs and a functioning economy is needed to serve the basic necessities of all people. Many Simply Clean customers who are not physically able to clean depend on our service for their health and for a sanitary home to live in. Also, our staff needs to work in order to pay their bills and take care of their families.
We thought a lot about how to go about continuing – whether we should or whether we could safely do so. We started researching and decided the way our business is set up and considering the PPE equipment we have access to, we could continue business as safely as anyone else. We are also in a unique position, as an essential service, to help sanitize and reduce transmissions. We take that opportunity seriously.
We decided that we could help our community by sanitizing and keeping surfaces clean and clear of Covid-19. We also understand that our undertaking requires a certain amount of risk. Therefore we are doing everything we can to keep your home clean, keep our staff working all while staying as safe as possible. Here are some of our new policies and procedures.
- If anyone on our staff has so much as a sniffle, they are staying home. We all understand the importance of this measure to stop the spread.
- The more research we do, the more we confirm how important masks are to stopping transmissions. Our staff will always be equipped with the necessary PPE and we will ALWAYS be wearing masks and gloves while we clean your home.
- We have added a list of new procedures to our Standard Cleaning Checklist . At no additional charge to our customers, we will use a CDC-approved disinfectant to sanitize commonly touched surfaces inside of your home. We have a list of items that includes knobs, handles, cabinets, phones, counters and more. The disinfectant is allowed to sit for the necessary amount of time to kill any virus that might live on a surface.
- Our cleaners have the ability to maintain a degree of social distancing. Many days, our staff might only see their cleaning partner and a couple of customers throughout the entire workday.
There is always a certain amount of risk associated with leaving home. We understand that. And we are grateful to be able to continue to work and provide jobs to our staff, who we appreciate so much. Our priority has always been to keep them working and take care of them as well as keep them, and our customers, as safe as possible.
Thanks for the opportunity. We look forward to seeing you soon!
