Simply Clean is committed to the safety and we are taking immediate steps to do our part to protect you and your family as well as our staff in midst of a pandemic. We are in a unique position to be part of the solution in the fight against COVID-19. With our knowledge of cleaning and sanitation, our staff is educated on the nature of COVID-19, how it spreads, how to reduce transmission, and how to effectively sanitize.
We have also made some changes to our policies and cleaning procedures. First and foremost, if any of our staff members have so much as a sniffle, they will not be at work. Out team understands the immense importance and responsibility we have to isolate ourselves if we feel ill. We ask the same of our customers – to inform us if there is an illness within your home so we can reschedule.
With respect to cleaning, we made substantial changes to our standard cleaning procedure. Simply Clean has always taken seriously cross-contamination protocols and we follow the current best practices in the industry. All microfiber rags and mop pads are sanitized as they are washed. We bring fresh microfibers into each home. Once a microfiber cloth or mop pad is put into service, it is contained in a plastic bag and sterilized afterwards. We sanitize our own equipment in between appointments.
Our staff can socially distance. Our regular daily routine exposes our staff to fewer individuals as we do not work out of a central office. Employees come straight to your home. The vast majority of our clients are either not home while we clean or in another room. That means that our staff can socially distance at work, normally only coming into close contact with their partner and maybe a client or 2, briefly.
Of course we normally use nontoxic cleaning materials. And vinegar is an excellent disinfectant. That said, we have added a CDC-approved disinfectant (COVID-19 killing) product to our kits which is not non-toxic or natural. We feel it’s necessary to add this product during such an emergency, in order to be extra thorough. Our teams are equipped with masks and gloves at all times while inside your home. We have a protocol for glove changes and we have added hand sanitizers to every kit for frequent hand washing. We have added a series of disinfectant procedures which will focus on commonly touched places within your home – handles, knobs, light switches and more. You can see the list of those frequently touched areas below. There will be no extra cost to you.
We know this is an important focus because COVID-19 can live on surfaces for several days.
Finally, we want to thank you for your support and for choosing Simply Clean. Like most small businesses, we are struggling. But we believe we can help!
